Assessments: These will take place both formally and informally. I will assess you daily through class discussions and questioning. Other assessments may include: homework quizzes, projects, class activities, and tests.
Grading Policies: Grades will be weighted. Assessments will make up 60% of your overall grade and the remaining 40% will come from all other work including, but not limited to: class work, activities, projects, participation, work ethic, homework, and homework quizzes. You must earn 60% in the course each semester to earn credit for that semester. The course grading scale is shown below.
- Late work, as stated in the school handbook, will receive, at best, 50% until the topic assessment. After the assessment, it will not be accepted.
- Unexcused absences result in a zero for work that is due that day.
Calculator sign out:
- I have extra calculators available to be signed out. You are responsible for them until you turn them back into me (not a sub, not to another student to give to me, not in my staff mailbox). If the calculator is lost or damaged, you will be responsible for replacing the calculator with one of equal value.
Expectations
- Be Respectful ~ to each other, me, and any visitors. This includes refraining from using foul language. This also includes the cell phone policy (do not have them out during learning unless they are part of our learning).
- Be Responsible- have appropriate materials for class, be on time, turn in work on time, communicate, communicate, communicate
