Welcome to Geometry
FYI:
The Michigan Department of Education has adopted the Common Core Standards that will be implemented in this class.
· Textbook/curriculum to be used: McDougal-Littell Michigan Version Algebra 1
· We must move at a steady pace in order to cover all of the expectations. It will be imperative that you come in for extra help if you find yourself struggling.
Grading: The Blissfield High School grading scale will be used. In order to pass the class students will need to earn at least a 60% each marking period as an overall class grade. If you do not do this for one/both grading periods, you can pass the semester by earning a 60% or higher on the quarterly exams.
Things You Should Know…
· You must bring all materials needed for class to class each day.
· You need to use the time between classes effectively as hall/bathroom passes will be given out minimally.
· Remain in your seats until the bell rings for you to be dismissed.
· SEE ME in VIP and during class to ask any questions if you are still struggling with any of the Algebra I material. I am here so that you can get extra help. If you ask for help, I will make sure you get it, but you MUST be an advocate for yourself!
Due to distractions, electronics are no longer welcome in my classroom. Please leave them in your lockers or they will be taken and turned over to the office.
The best way to check for daily assignments is through the Home Acess Center. I update assignments and grades daily!
